Lyrics by Sharon Holt ; music composed by Graeme Stewart and Stacey Walker ; vocals by Stacy Walker, Graeme Stewart and Caleb Driver ; guitar by Graeme Stewart.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Caleb Driver at Vision College Studio, Hamilton.
The song follows a family through their Matariki celebrations over the course of a day. The family wakes at dawn to see the Matariki star cluster and during the day visitors arrive for a traditional Matariki feast. The elders remind the family about those who have passed away and thre is plenty of time for singing and games before the feast. As the evening draws in, the children create their own stars using sparklers.
